Event: The Choice: Violence or Poverty?

This event, held 7 July 2022 at Yirranma Place, launched ground-breaking research on domestic violence conducted by Dr Anne Summers AO during her Paul Ramsay Foundation Fellowship 2021-22. Anne presented confronting and previously unpublished data that reveals the shocking extent of violence experienced by women and the economic, financial, health and other consequences of their choosing to leave. She was joined by journalist Jess Hill for a conversation.
